Mogan's pecs

inmersion en los Pecios de Mogan

Cermona II 'and' Pecio Viejo 'in the southwest of Gran Canaria
The wrecks of Mogán are two sunken ships just 40 meters away from each other near the marina of Puerto de Mogán, in the southwest of Gran Canaria. The two ships were deliberately sunk to encourage underwater tourism. The least dismantled and most photogenic of them is the 'Cermona II', 32 meters long and submerged in 2002. The one known as 'Old Wreck' is a metal mass hovered by abundant marine life.

Immersion next to the yellow submarine of Puerto de Mogán
The bottom that surrounds the wrecks is an attractive and extensive sand of 21 meters of maximum depth. The visibility and the usually low currents in the area allow for an easy and adaptable dive at all levels, which can include both boats. The charm of the wrecks themselves is complemented by the presence of a large bank of snorers, trumpet fish and chuchos, and the regular visit of a yellow passenger submarine based in Puerto de Mogán.
